Kassie Rene is a writer, editor, and creative. She runs the independent literary magazine Virgo Venus Press and volunteers at The Offing.
With more than 10 years of experience as a copywriter both agency-side and in-house, Kassie specializes in brand voice development and direct-response writing for fintech startups. Her most recent role was at Robinhood, where she oversaw all growth comms for Robinhood Gold.
When she’s not writing for brands, Kassie is often, still, writing or editing. Her creative nonfiction has appeared in Hobart Pulp, Rejection Letters, and elsewhere. In 2025, her essay was selected as a finalist & honorable mention for the Terry Tempest Williams Prize by her home country’s oldest literary magazine, North American Review.
Kassie is currently on track to complete an MA in Creative Writing & Publishing from City St. George’s University of London in September 2027. Her dissertation is a book-length memoir essay about the intersection of intergenerational trauma bonds, pleasure, and pain.
